Greetings from the Dedcat!

Hello fellow babys!I am the Dedcat,most of you know me,either as Shane,or dagger or the fat guy w/the big mouth!(sorry Maluf!)I thought that maybe i would let you all know what I'm all about.I'm the Deville TM,and was certified Dagger status last year by the man hissef'-Duncan!A real sk8 Icon.It was 1975 I was standing in my driveway mid summer,and this kid I had just met rolls up a magic carpet with urethane wheels!"Hey man,let me try that!"I got on and rolled down the street-and was immediately hooked!"This thing rolls killer!" I told him.in that single moment my life was changed FOREVER.I was hooked,NOTHING ELSE MATTERED!I'm sure you know what talking about.I skated until I was dragged in every night.I found magazines ,movies,shops and every other skater I could on the west side and lived the dream,I still do.Skating for me is life and everything else takes a back seat to it!Think not?At this point I would rather sk8 a new pool for the first time than get laid!(I can allways do that later!)Later that same summer we saw a movie called "Freewheelin'" with T.A. and Stacy Peralta in it,they were ripping pools ,banks ,resivoirs and anything they could get a run at!Thats what I want to do!We set out looking for new terrain,we had to "get vertical"as they said back in the day!(Man am I old!)We sought out pools and pipes ,punk rock and skank,and along the way met alot of other sk8ers.I was lucky to see people like Kevin Staab,Brian Brannon & JFA,and alot of the local legends come up and RIP!Sk8 THE desert pipes,dead cat pool,Marina,Skatercross,Skatopia(the original park in anaheim)DelMar and Upland,lots of other stuff too."Ollie"was a person!not a trick.I love skateboarding still,and sometimes cant sleep just thinking about it.How bout you?
